Just a bit about my weekend...

Sunday morning dad and I took Bella and the kids to the beach, Bella just goes crazy. She is’t afraid of the waves anymore and ran straight into the water. For a change we had a morning of lovely weather followed by fresh scones with strawberry jam and cream. Yum! I can’t believe how in the most freezing weather when kids see water all they want to do is swim. They were way bummed that they didn't bring their cossies and here i was with 3 layers of clothes! But we had a lovely time playing with our feet in the water and letting the waves chase us on the beach..

Tag, you're it!

After lunch on our way to George we stopped at dolphin point and took some great photo's... How I love these 2 kids. Its bad being so far away and hardly ever seeing them. But it hit me the other day that they are of a different generation and no matter where I live they are not like my other sisters who I am going to grow up with. They have each other but have us as older siblings whom they can look forward to seeing on visits. It must be so different growing up having most of your siblings be 10 to 20 years older than you. At least I will get pay back when I have kids as by that time they will be old enough to babysit for me! Ha ha

All in all it was a great weekend, had fun with the family and just ate way to much. Saturday morning at Wimpy Breakfast dad tilted his head sideways and just stared at me. He must think I don't feed myself at home with the way I was stuffing my face with the full monty breakfast!

I hope I get to see them again soon!!

The joys of having siblings who are 18 years younger than you....

I love my family to bits see... But it's Saturday afternoon and I have that feeling of "please just let me be alone"... Sometimes they drive me nuts. Evidently I have become accustomed to the simple and silent life on the farm in the last 3 weeks, the noise, the noise!!! Big Man is 10 and Puppet is 7 and they fight about absolutely EVERYTHING!!! Who is gonna sit in the middle, get out 1st, got more chips with their burger!! I realize now how tiring it is! It always used to be I suppose it's just worse now seeing that I haven't seen them for a while...

But behind all the fighting and tantrums are the awesome things you can do together that remind you what being a kid is about again. I played with clay, how much fun you used to have to have as a kid with clay... Puppet and I made a Lady bug, a fly and a cool green dinosaur called Dino Dog! Dino has red horns down his back and purple spots! Have a look at our little creatures and remember how much fun you had with clay and crayons when you were 7!

My LIttle brother "Big Man' is CLASSIC!!!

Its Friday evening and yes I am blogging. Sitting in the kitchen of our weekend home after a lovely meal of freshly made pasta! I just need to share with you how classic my 10 year old brother ids "Big Man". He really has nothing to do and has had to much coke!! He has unpacked both suitcases of stuff my sister sent down for me, rolling out my yoga mat and asking me "is this for camping?". He has been singing the frikking Shrek song the entire evening, now I have an ear-worm!!! "Hey now I am a rock star...." Anyway here is the point, please have a look at my classic moment with him, checking out Facebook he comes to me "hey Rykie check it out, I can go on Facebook without a computer!! Wait, check check!!"
