Home sweet home!

After a lovely weekend with the folks and kids I set of back home, drove 4 hours which was great timing. Luckily Bella was so tired after a lovely run on the beach that she slept the entire way and no stops were needed! About 40 minutes before I get home my lovely Lady buggy friend in my now hometown phones “my friend I am home with no keys to get in!” . So of I go and open the door for her, I am keeping my set of keys for future emergencies. But as it goes I first have a glass of wine! There is no such thing as one glass of wine in this town!!! It ended in us having about 5, but the company was lovely and I just couldn't say no.

Half way through we ran out of smokes and of we go to look for something that's open to get some. Nothing is open here on a Sunday evening, even the petrol stations close unlike back home where they are 24 hours. The things we take for granted! Lady bug takes me to a Shell garage in the middle of town, “pull up there by the door”, we wait a sec and a guy comes out and asks us what we want. We order 2 packets of smokes, he runs in get them, gives us the total and we pay. Wow, drive through smokes I have never seen anything like it! Well impressed I make a mental note of the location, this can sure come in handy on a rainy day! Who needs 24 hour Woolies Engen garages when you can get drive through service!

I eventually got home just after 11pm! Made some toast as I was starving by now and passed out! This morning when I woke up I unpacked my carload of stuff that was sent from home. An electric blanket has never made me this happy! I have breakfast and do the dishes, to my dismay I discovered there is no hot water. Yes clever me switched the geyser of when I went away and of course forgot last night to flip the switch back on, so here I am blogging because my house is clean and I cant go shower!! (Well I write the blogs now and post them later when I am in the vicinity of some reception).

Well my dog is getting restless and pressing her squeaky toy against my hand making it hard to type! I need to get rid of her frustration and hopefully by then I will be able to have a hot warm shower and get ready for some more job hunting!
