Talk Radio Tick, tack toe Continues...

Bright Sunny day in Paarl with a high of 26, it’s set to be a lovely day. That is if you can keep your eyes open!

But No. 3: Zzzzzz, squirrel squirrel! I have a neighbour, very sweet girl and all and Bella loves her little Jack Russel "Snuffels". I don't however feel the same way about my new next door companions, yes companions because we share everything. I know they watch 7de Laan and that her gumboot wearing farm guy boyfriend loves to tickle her, these walls offer just a tad more privacy than them being transparent. They might as well have been as I could have shared with you what dish washing liquid she uses to, I am sure I will be able to share it with you soon if it comes up in their conversation.

Last night LadyBug was over for a glass of wine, neighbours (they live in No. 3, I am No. 4) start drilling, LadyBug “All I need after a long day this loud noises, loud noises”. Knock knock, No. 3’s farm guy boyfriend “Hey guys, I am just gonna drill 2 holes, will be quick, hope you don't mind”.. Shit, I forgot they can hear me to! Ha ha “No no not at all go right ahead, no problem”. Whisper really really softly “oops, forgot to tel you LadyBug these walls are made from frikking tissue paper!”.

But no. 4: Now see all of this I can still cope with, but as I recently discovered in my state of insomnia at 2 in the morning, we have squirrels. Don’t get me wrong they are overly cute and keep Bella busy in the day chasing them up the trees. But it’s at night time when these creatures come out to party, on my roof!!! Trrrr, trrr they run up and down on the tin roof. How did I discover this? Farm guy snores really really loudly!! I woke up in the middle of the night and between trrrrr and zzzzz couldn't go back to sleep again. When I finally managed to dose of I woke up again because I could feel a tick walking on my arm, there wasn’t really one I was dreaming or should I say having a nightmare. Trrrrr, zzzzzz, can I sleep over at yours tomorrow please. So here I am at 3 in the morning hopefully entertaining you while I sip my coffee and listen to the background noises. Should I say it, I wish it would start raining again, no, pouring please? It might help blur out the noise from all the activity here in the farm at frikking 3am!

And here I was enjoying the silence, well it was good while it lasted!

I really hope this is not to be continued. Between the squires, snores and blood thirsty ticks I seriously don't need more buts, especially if I don’t have good radio to cheer me up!
